This latest first look, nicknamed “Nylon,” features a color scheme that is very familiar. The all Black leather upper, White midsole, and Red Jumpman branding on the tongue might remind you of the previously released “72-10” Air Jordan 11. This is shaping up to be a pretty great year for Air Jordan 12 releases, with this “Nylon” iteration only adding to 2016’s hot stock. The Air Jordan 12, like many in the line, represents a seminal transition for the GOAT. During the time when these first dropped, basketball fans and media alike saw Michael Jordan transition onto a more established phase of his life. No more titles to chase, hardly any accolades he hadn’t already been awarded, the man was now settling into being his own business venture. For this reason, the Air Jordan 12, for a lot of fans, represents a time when Jordan officially (for lack of a better word) arrived.
